Yaireth Gomez's Venezuelan Guasacaca (Wasakaka)

According to National Today, March 23rd is National Chips and Dip Day. Sticking with the tradition, (that we started last month) we are sharing yet another family recipe and passing it onto our extended ELI Thrive family.

Here is a healthy & great guacamole alternative from Success Coach Yaireth Gomez.

Itโ€™s simple to make, just toss everything into your blender, and itโ€™s ready in less than 5 minutes! This sauce is great as a chip or veggie dip, salad dressing, empanadas, or spreading on grilled foods!

1 avocado ๐Ÿฅ‘
1 green pepper ๐Ÿซ‘
1 garlic clove ๐Ÿง„
A stalk of cilantro ๐ŸŒฟ
Half a yellow onion ๐Ÿง…
Salt & pepper to your liking ๐Ÿง‚
A light splash of apple cider vinegar)
Juice of 1 lime
2 spoonfuls of olive oil
Mayo or greek yogurt to your liking (makes it creamier)

Gather and prepare your ingredients. Remove any thick, large stems from your cilantro, but donโ€™t worry too much about it, as it will all get processed/ blended anyhow. Blend/ food process it all up & you have an awesome healthy sauce that lasts 3-5 days (1 day in the Gomez house)!
