Maddie White-Intern
Meet Maddie - our newest intern! She comes to us through Samford University where she is currently in school for her Masters of Social Work. She started working with ELI this past August and does all things from art projects around the office, planning events for our moms, tutoring kiddos at Barrett Elementary, and everything in between!
Maddie was born and raised in Dallas, Texas but has spent the last 5 years in our great state of Alabama, receiving her undergraduate degree at Auburn University in Human Development and Family Sciences in May of 2021.
When Maddie is not in the office or working on school, she is probably on a walk, at continental bakery drinking coffee, taking care of her plants, on the couch reading a book, or cooking a good meal. When Maddie was 5 years old, she was sure she would be an American Idol celebrity or a Broadway star - but I guess social work was the next best thing! She is so excited about working with ELI because she is passionate about helping others heal holistically, and can see firsthand how ELI does this in the community by partnering alongside families and working with them to reach their goals and work towards self-sustainability.
