Helen Johnson-Thrive Coach

Meet Helen Johnson, our newest Success Coach at ELI Thrive!

With a Masters in Social Work from The University of Alabama and a Bachelors in Social Work from Jacksonville State University, Helen brings over a decade of post-masters experience in the field. Her expertise spans healthcare, nonprofit organizations, and victim advocacy, focusing on aiding individuals in overcoming adversity and fostering post-traumatic growth.

Helen's work is dedicated to holistic wellness practices, post-traumatic growth, adverse childhood experience prevention strategy, breaking intergenerational cycles, and kinship care. She is deeply committed to making a positive impact on individuals and families.

Married to her middle school "friend zone" crush, Helen is a parent to three children through kinship adoption. Growing up, she often visited her grandmother in East Avondale, creating lasting memories in the process.

Helen just started her journey with ELI Thrive and is already deeply appreciative of the organization's commitment to fostering lasting positive change through a multigenerational approach. She values ELI's recognition of the interconnectedness of children and adults, aligning closely with both her personal experiences and professional aspirations.

When she's not coaching, Helen enjoys sharing insights on plant care and indoor gardening as an avid plant enthusiast. She also delves into tech-savvy projects like database solutions, graphic or website design. On days of self-care, you'll likely find her in a yoga class, enjoying music, or savoring sushi.
